Hi Nelson. Thanks for the comments you left in my guestbook. Galahs are one of the friendliest birds I've come across. It's great to watch a couple (they pair for life) teaching one of their babies to do 'crazy flying'. Wild ones often visit galahs that are kept in cages, and will happily accept escapees into their flocks. It's not unusual to find a budgie or other domesticated parrot travelling with a flock of galahs and being treated as one of their own.

Hi Nelson, thanks for visiting Gertie's album on my web page. She's going to stay with us now. We just love her. I noticed on your albums that you do rehab. I've been a wildlife rehabilitator for almost 18 years now. I specialize in raptors and large waterfowl. See this album: http://www.pbase.com/horsefeathers/wildlife_rehabilitation Before Gertie we rescued a Blue and Gold Macaw and a (Citroen) Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. We found a great home for the B&G and still have the other one. They are both so sweet. Nice talking to you and thanks for visiting my albums

Hi there Nelson, thanks for signing my Guestbook, glad you liked Schuey! You have some VERY beautiful birds there and they are soooo lucky to be able to venture outdoors. Here in England it gets too cold for them to go out. Schuey is nearly five now and we've had him from 12 weeks old. He's definitely the 'Boss' and we live our lives around him. Last time we had a weekend away was....... um....see? I can't even remember.
He's great fun mostly but he can be REALLY bad sometimes too. He has an amazing vocabulary and talks endlessly. He has strangely attacked me badly 3 times during the last 3 weeks as though he doesn't even know me and I nearly had stitches in my right wrist and thumb. My neck got chomped on next and I am still recovering after two weeks. No joke. I still love the boy though, he's my life...and then there's my wife. Can't figure what is getting him this way....thought of it all and came to the conclusion that the only recent change is my wife coming off the contraceptive 'pill'. Maybe it's a hormonal sensing thing? Who knows but I'll keep trying to deal with it anyhow. You are a very good photographer and I love your work, keep it up and say 'hi' to Peaches and all the others please?!
Regards
Malcolm
